Using images is a powerful tool to gain people's attention. This is where online website that offers free photo for both personal and commercial use gains enormous potential.

Unsplash is website that offers free photos to anyone. This website has a massive collection of truly amazing photos.

Back in the days, photographers love this website since each photos can link back to their own website, thus allowing them free exposure and traffic in exchange for the images that doesn't pay them royalty. However, as years roll by, Unsplash unceremoniously changed this crucial factor, thus, free images no longer link to the photographer's own website, instead it link to Unsplash itself--specifcally to the photographer's profile in Unsplash.

Many photographers who invested their time and photos in Unsplash were disheartened by this change...like being betrayed. So, if you want free advertisement in exchange of your photos, you may want to think again about this website's potential for you.

It remains today that photos uploaded to Unsplash are free to use. Theme of photos includes architecture, arts, animals, business, fashion, food, health, nature, pattern, people, spirituality, travel, and others.

Being free is good in itself but it does set limits to a great number of things.

I was searching for some photos I can use for my health blog, they have many stunning shots that I would love to use, but when I searched the term "cysts", nothing came up and they only have limited number of photos when you key in "syringe". So yeah, this free photo sharing website does have it's limits. I noticed that the number of photos per keyword isn't as much as paid photography website.
