Tiger Sugar Boba Milk Tea Review
Tiger Sugar Boba Milk Tea Review |
Tiger Sugar Milk Tea in BGC Taguig -- I remember the days when this first ever Tiger Sugar location in the Philippines had such a staggering long queue of customers. It was so intense back then that one literally had to wait for hours just to get a freakin milk tea drink.
As the 2019 draws closer to it's end, I can say that the hype has passed. No more sacrifice...except for financial!

I still can't help but wonder what makes people endure such long waiting time. Come to think of it, in other countries like Singapore and Taiwan, this brand is notoriously known for it's long lines of patrons.
Hey, some people can't even bear to wait for as little as 15 minutes without complaining for something that is necessary to their survival, like healthcare for example, but a milk tea? What can be so good about this iced drink that someone will post "worth the 1 hour wait" on social media.

To satisfy my curiosity, I got my hands into this Tiger Sugar's Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse worth 120 Philippine pesos. I drink it immediately, didn't even shook it 15 times because I forgot. Sorry guys.
For me, it tastes like fresh milk. It didn't have the distinct taste of tea which I crave so freakin bad. I have to say that the taste of tea is something I really look forward to in a milk tea.
Despite the lack of the notable tea taste, Tiger Sugar isn't that bad. It actually tastes good. It's creamy with just the right balance of sweetness. Beforehand, I thought it will be overpowered with intense sweetness because it's coated with brown sugar but it's not. I like the chewy soft boba as well.

Is Tiger Sugar tea worth the hype? For me, the answer is obcourse yes! It's a freakin milk tea after all whose competing with every other milk tea in the market. It is a world famous brand. In addition, if you haven't realized yet, there are a lot of milk tea brand that's in demand in the Philippines that also have their fair share of hype.
Is tiger sugar worth the 1 hour wait? I say no! If hypothetically I fell in line for 1 hour just so I can have a taste of Tiger Sugar, I say I would be really dissappointed because it has such a strong reputation but my taste buds have a specific taste it wants.
Will I buy Tiger Sugar's Boba Milk Tea? Unfortunately, my answer is no. As I've said, what I'm looking for in a milk tea is that distinct taste of tea which unfortunately is not delivered by this brand. Don't get me wrong, Tiger Sugar is a good tasting drink, unfortunately, when I crave for a milk tea, I'm after that tea taste. Now, I know each one of has may have varying opinion about this tea so please respect my verdict.
